Meet Chiro and your EA

Your workspace can include two assistant roles:

Chiro, the organization-wide assistant.
Your EA, your personal executive assistant.

The short version

Chiro is shared across the organization workspace.
Your EA is tied to your account and personal assistant settings.

Where to find them

Both appear in the assistants area of Dynamic teams.

Your EA appears as your personal assistant tile.
Chiro appears as the standalone organization assistant tile.
Teammates' EAs can also appear there when your workspace configuration allows it.

What each one is for

Use your EA for personal work

Your EA is the better fit when the task is mainly about you, for example:

drafting a personal message;
summarizing a document you uploaded;
checking your own priorities; or
keeping personal preferences in one place.

Use Chiro for shared organization context

Chiro is the better fit when the question is about shared context, for example:

organization policies;
cross-team ownership;
decisions that affect more than one person; or
shared knowledge in the workspace.

Privacy and separation

Treat Chiro and your EA as separate conversation surfaces.

Conversations with your EA are separate from conversations with Chiro.
Shared organization context belongs in Chiro or other organization-level spaces.
Personal context belongs in your EA chat unless you intentionally move it into a shared space.

Working with teammates and assistants

You can bring assistants into conversations through Dynamic teams. This lets you work with:

you and your EA;
you and Chiro;
you, a teammate, and their EA; or
a larger group with multiple assistants.

When an assistant joins a conversation, focus on what that assistant should help with in that conversation rather than assuming it has access to every other context surface.

Common questions

Why are there two assistant roles?

Because the product separates personal assistant work from shared organization assistant work.

Can I rename my EA later?

Not through the ordinary assistant settings flow shown in the app today.

Can admins control assistant capabilities?

Yes. The app exposes assistant capability settings and related admin controls. See Managing assistant capabilities.
